Dr. phil. Alexander Stumm is V-Professor for Architectural Theory at the HSA Dessau and research associate at the University of Kassel. Further activities as V-Professor for Architectural Theory at the B-TU Cottbus (2022-23), lecturer for Architectural History at the VGU in Ho Chi Minh City (2020-23), TU Berlin (2020-22) and as editor at the architecture magazines Arch+ (2017-2019), BauNetz (2019-22), Bauwelt (2022-2023). He is responsible for the research project Die Abrissfrage (with Prof. Luise Rellensmann), is initiator of the Abriss-Moratorium (demolition moratorium) and co-initiator of the interactive platform abriss-atlas.de. He is co-founder of the Forschungsstelle Geschichte Ökologisches Bauen (Research Center for the History of Ecological Building) at the University of Kassel and co-editor of the book series Fundamente Ökologisches Bauen at Jovis (both with Prof. Philipp Oswalt). His habilitation is currently devoted to the archaeology of ecological building based on the architects Gernot Minke, Thomas Herzog and Michael Wilkens /Baufrösche. His doctoral thesis Architektonische Konzepte der Rekonstruktion was published in 2017 by Birkhäuser Verlag in the Bauwelt Fundamente series. Alexander Stumm studied art history and modern German literature in Munich, Berlin and Venice.
